D-Tools Cloud NEW Inventory Management Features: Webinar Recording

The D-Tools Cloud webinar recording introduces the newly launched Inventory Management feature, detailing how integrators can efficiently manage purchasing, tracking, and allocation workflows, utilize job cost reporting for project budgeting, load and monitor inventory through various software pages, and previews future enhancements like label printing, audit trails, advanced stock reporting, and RMAs.

D-Tools Cloud’s new Inventory Management feature is now live, and D-Tools presented an in-depth webinar to guide users through the new module. This webinar recording serves as a valuable reference tool for users beginning their journey with the new Inventory Management feature.

The new D-Tools Cloud Inventory Management feature, which debuted in late January 2025, provides integrators with a seamless way to manage their inventory across purchasing, tracking, and allocation workflows. This empowers integration teams to operate more efficiently and deliver projects with greater accuracy and confidence.

Shenelle Enos, D-Tools Cloud sales manager, began the webinar by reviewing some of the new Job Cost Reporting functionality in D-Tools Cloud. This helps integrators better understand their project performance:

“By tracking how effectively labor is being utilized, managers instantly know whether a project is running under, on or over budget. Job costing also enables other critical business reports, like revenue earned in a financial period and current backlog.”

In the webinar, Bobby Bernarte, D-Tools Cloud Product Manager, reviewed key features of the new Inventory Management feature, focusing on helping users get started with the new module. Key elements include:

  • How users can load products into the Inventory feature, either through a bulk import spreadsheet or manual updates on each item.
  • Where to locate inventory levels and individual units in the software’s Items Status page, the Ready to Order page, and the main Inventory Dashboard.
  • An overview of the Item Status layout, including how to view stock levels and complete ordering and scheduling of inventory items.

The webinar also covered the future roadmap for D-Tools Cloud Inventory, which includes:

  • Printing labels for individual items and bulk shipments
  • Tracking inventory changes and providing a thorough audit trail
  • Expanded reporting of stock movement, turnover, and forecasting
  • RMAs to streamline the return process with automatic updates to stock count
  • Future scalability for multi-warehouse locations, inventory tracking, and batch processing via an Enterprise Inventory Management feature
  • The ability to sync data with popular accounting software solutions

These new capabilities address the challenges integrators face in keeping track of inventory throughout the project lifecycle. The comprehensive solution is designed to streamline operations, reduce manual errors, and ensure that the right products are available at the right time.

Enos reminded attendees that D-Tools Cloud is a full end-to-end web-based business management software solution. She encouraged attendees to reach out with questions or to schedule a demo of the software, especially if users are not currently taking advantage of all the features.

Beyond the new Inventory Management feature, D-Tools Cloud users can manage every aspect of a job, from initial design and product procurement to scheduling tasks and payments. D-Tools Cloud expedites the generation and throughput of dynamic, engaging multimedia proposals and facilitates browser-based visual quoting for closer collaboration with clients and fast e-sign approvals. Modifications to any facet of a project can be quickly added to the project documentation, ensuring data and information is always accurate and up to date.
