That’s exactly what happened at Integrated Electronic Solutions (IES) in Mamaroneck, NY, when the company adopted the recently released Inventory Management module in D-Tools Cloud.
“We use various parts of D-Tools Cloud and recently we started using the Inventory Management feature,” says Dean Valencic, president of IES. “That feature helped us discover thousands of dollars of unused equipment that we had in stock. It also helped streamline ordering for better efficiency and cost savings, and improve proposal accuracy for real-time inventory tracking and reducing overstock.”

IES is a longtime user of D-Tools software, starting first with D-Tools System Integrator (SI) back in the early 2000s, then migrating over to D-Tools Cloud in 2020. The company has 10 employees and focuses on both residential and commercial projects.
Valencic calls the implementation of the new Inventory Management feature “the perfect thing”, noting, “Discovering thousands of dollars in unused inventory is the perfect thing because now I can simply take a look at what I have in stock and sell it or implement it into an upcoming project.”
Adoption Was 'Very Easy'
As for the actual implementation of the new Inventory Management module in D-Tools Cloud, Valencic says it was a breeze.
“Adoption of the inventory feature was relatively easy. We didn’t know what to expect, but once we started and figured out how to have D-Tools help us with the documents and videos, it was very easy and didn’t take a long time,” he adds.
Valencic says he would “definitely recommend” other integrators adopt the Inventory Management feature in D-Tools Cloud.
“It made us more efficient and there is nothing on the market like it currently that gives you a full one-stop-shop solution,” recommends Valencic.
