D-Tools System Integrator: Assistance and Support Options

D-Tools offers comprehensive support for its System Integrator (SI) users through its Professional Services Group (PSG), which includes industry veterans providing onsite and regional training, screen-sharing consultations, and online tutorials to help dealers maximize their use of the robust SI platform and achieve greater business success.

In tune with our ongoing motivation to assist our dealers with their SI use, this month's entry focuses on how we can help you help yourself. Whether it’s a dedicated screen-sharing call with a member of our Professional Services Group or following along with our online tutorials, we have assistance to fit all requirements.

Our motivation is simple: the more we assist our dealers with their SI usage, the more they are able to achieve greater levels of success with SI. Many teams are still not aware that there is ample help available, so we want to reiterate that help is just an email, chat, or phone call away.

As a new or experienced user, the SI platform is robust and layered with multiple features that can seem overwhelming. We offer many ways to enhance your usage and experience with SI to maximize your business processes and enable your team to be more effective and profitable.

If this interests you, keep reading as we explore the options for assistance from our team that can help users overachieve in the coming year.

1. Professional Services Group (PSG)

The Professional Services Group (PSG) is a team of industry veterans who have used System Integrator in real-world scenarios. Their unique perspective allows them to share valuable insights with our dealers. Most have years of experience with the SI platform, some with 20+ years.

D-Tools is uniquely positioned to offer assistance from experienced veterans, providing consulting that is second to none. The PSG team consults with users in their everyday engagement with the SI platform.

Ways to interact with the PSG team:

  1. 1.Onsite Training: We come to you and conduct specific SI instructional sessions with your team. This is the most assured way for your team to have ultimate success with SI.
  2. 2.Regional Training: Held multiple times a year, these are 3-day engagements where you come to us for a full review of the SI platform. Ideal for beginners needing SI “101.”
  3. 3.Screen Sharing Call: Secure time with our team for a screen-sharing session to review and improve your SI usage scenarios. Calls are recorded and shared with attendees, typically lasting one hour but can be longer.

Access these options by reaching out to your D-Tools account manager or reviewing information on our Professional Services webpage.

2. Webinars

Another outstanding option is to attend our Gold Support Webinars, offered twice a week for Software Assurance members. These 30-minute sessions are driven by attendee content and may focus on pivotal mechanisms within SI or serve as open Q&A sessions with a PSG team host.

Feedback from attendees highlights the value of discussions between actual SI users.

3. SI Evening Edition

The SI Evening Editions are monthly instructional sessions conducted by a PSG Team member. These sessions feature topic-driven presentations on specific SI features, followed by open Q&A. Registration and prior session recordings are available on our website.

4. Tech Support Team

Our Tech Support Team offers help and solutions to daily questions about SI. They assist with installation, usage scenarios, and exploring new aspects of the software to increase productivity and profitability. The team can be reached via the support ticket page or chat option on our website. Support is available day or night, including weekends, with team members in various time zones.

5. Online Documentation (“Wiki”)

Our online documentation, or “Wiki,” is accessible from our website or within the SI platform. It provides step-by-step instructions, how-to scenarios, navigational directions, and a search tool. The thorough data and visuals help solve user problems and assist in developing new usage scenarios.

6. Tutorials

Our tutorials, accessible from within the SI platform, are especially helpful for initial setup and beginners. These primarily video-based presentations offer step-by-step instructions and guidelines for specific SI usage scenarios. They are also useful for onboarding new employees.

7. Online Videos

The D-Tools YouTube page contains hours of video content related to SI features and usage scenarios, including catalog and project creation, design utilization (Visio and AutoCAD), reporting, purchasing, project management, field deployment, and “What’s New” webinars for each SI product release.

8. 24/7 Dealer Forum

The Dealer Forum is a community where SI users post questions, comments, achievements, and concerns about their experiences with the SI Platform. Feedback highlights the value of peer perspectives and insights shared regularly.

9. Feature Requests and Feedback

User feedback is important and provides learning opportunities for all. The Feature Request mechanism allows users to submit ideas for the future of SI and see what others are doing with the platform.

10. Accessing Assistance

Access to most of the above is embedded within the SI software platform. Select the Start icon in the top left corner of your SI main page, then choose Help to display a menu with assistance options.
